Parent School Partnership
Parent Project Groups
Assumption starts 2020 with the Parent Project Groups Model in place from last year.
The intention of this parent/school partnership model, as displayed below, is that the school and parents work together on projects throughout the year for the benefit of the children attending Assumption.
PROJECT GROUPS FOCUS: Implementation of community ‘friend-raising’ events. * Groups are formed on interest / grade / friend connections. * Fundraising is not the key focus. * Parents and carers meet with leadership team at the start of the year, drafting plans and placing them on the school calendar.
Events could include: - Back to school welcome activities - Kinder orientation hospitality - Mothers’ Day activity - Fathers’ Day activity - Community kitchen garden - World Teachers’ Day - Year 6 Graduation supper - Meet the classmates activities - Community outreach - Edgell jog, SVDP appeals, etc
* Parents could assist with one activity, or more, depending on arrangements organised and time available * Meetings required are at the start of the year then briefings before events with a member of staff. |
The table below lists some of the activities the parents assisted in organising in 2019.
